Artist Statement

My artwork is surreal and fantastical, from my deepest emotions. I give the viewers a piece of myself and my story through painting, drawing, comics, and illustration. I aim to express my own trauma, queerness, and mental health through both true and fictional concepts and stories that viewers can relate to.

Artist Bio

Chloe Chesnut, otherwise known online as Cncmee, was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio in 1999 before moving to Cincinnati in 2018. They work primarily in 2D media, such as painting, drawing, and digital work, but she also dabbles in prop making from time to time. Their main influences come from personal experiences,
alongside growing up with access to the arts, comics, and animated content. She is currently attending University of Cincinnati on track to receive a bachelor’s degree in fine arts in 2023.
